RAMSeS

UNC Asheville is transitioning to a comprehensive Electronic Research Administration (eRA) system known as Research Administration Management System & eSubmission (RAMSeS). When fully implemented, this system will provide project directors and principal investigators greater flexibility in managing all phases of a sponsored program. Besides project management, RAMSeS also provides investigators and administrators with an ability to mine data using a robust repository.

The Office of Sponsored Scholarship and Programs (OSSP) has initiated a phased implementation of the RAMSeS system. On 1 January 2010, OSSP transitioned the archival data to RAMSeS and aided programmers with data verification. On July 1, 2010 OSSP began working with the Deans and other administrators to review proposals and identify potential areas of concern.
