Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) describes federal programs, including purpose, eligibility, appropriations and contacts. This system provides information related to special federal programs (i.e., health care, child and family services) along with sponsored project funding. It also enables individuals to subscribe to email updates.
Michigan State University Libraries
Michigan State University Libraries maintain a web site of grant programs based on discipline. This free site allows individuals to search potential funding opportunities by discipline, education level and population group.
Foundation Grants for Preservation in Libraries, Archives and Museums
Foundation Grants for Preservation in Libraries, Archives and Museums is a collaboration between the Library of Congress and the Foundation Center. This publication lists 1,944 grants of $5000 or more from 488 foundations. It covers grants to public, academic, research, school, special libraries and to achives and museums.
Foundation Center
The mission of the Foundation Center is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related sponsors. Much of the information located on their site is free, including newsletters.
